GMS Hung Yen Waste Treatment & Resource Recovery Complex
The complex is a chain of functional areas, each with one clear job:
- Reception: trucks are weighed and unload into a covered hall to limit odour and leachate.
- Sorting line: trommel screens and conveyors split waste into streams: organic, plastic, metal and combustible.
- Composting area: the organic stream is composted into humus for soil improvement.
- VPD area: plastic and combustible fractions go through pyrolysis to recover oil, syngas and char.
- RDF pressing: the remaining combustible fraction is pressed into pellets that replace fuel in industrial kilns.
- Control room and lab: operations are monitored and output quality is checked.
The shared goal: send less to landfill and turn waste into products that can still be used.
